Reporting to the Assistant Director Training, the E-learning Policec Officer acts as his/her main support by providing training/presentations and  project management in order to assist in the coordination and management of IGLC project activities and update IGLC websites.

The INTERPOL Global Learning Centre is an electronic web-based platform allowing a wide distribution of police services, knowledge, best practices, training and e-learning, aimed at facilitating new training opportunities for member countries, as well as developing a culture of learning and exchange of expertise between law enforcement communities around the world.

Primary Duties

1. Assist in the development and management of all aspects of the IGLC, including Policy development, Communication, Training resources and IGLC updates;
2. Develop distance learning resources;
3. Assist the E-learning Coordinator in managing the Learning Management System (LMS) and NCB's related user account creation and management;
4. Perform any other duties to ensure the smooth support and running of the IGLC Project.


All candidates will be assessed on the under mentioned requirements.


• Degree in police, IT, administration or related discipline;

• Good knowledge of training and e-learning development tools.




• Excellent English written and oral communication skills are mandatory.


Experience required

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in training, ideally training at distance;
• Experience in e-learning and web-content management is a strong asset.


Specific Skills required

• Solid presentation, communication and facilitation skills, both written and oral.
• Results driven and achievement-oriented with a “can-do” attitude, multi-tasking, work well under pressure.
• Demonstrated tact and diplomacy, to develop and maintain good working relationships with all parties within INTERPOL as well as outside

In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial.

• A working knowledge of French and Spanish would be a very strong an additional asset.

Working Conditions

• This post is to be filled on the basis of a secondment.

• Remuneration: INTERPOL does not pay salary to seconded officials. Depending on the nationality of the official, an expatriation allowance may be paid for a maximum period of six years. • This post requires occasional travel on missions, sometimes of a long duration and at short notice.

• The incumbent will be occasionally required to work irregular hours or overtime based upon workload.
